Call Rate Up, Giving Down: Your Support is Needed

With pandemic restrictions lifted, most of us are enjoying autumn with lighter spirits. Traveling and gathering have returned to almost pre-pandemic frequency. Unfortunately, for a small percent of the population, mental health issues linger.(1) At Telecare we see evidence of this. The call rate for April to August 2022 was slightly higher (1196) compared to the same months in 2020 (1166).


Despite the steady rate of calls, giving is down at Telecare. During the pandemic, donors gave generously to stem the tide of hurt and frustration, and we are grateful for that support. Today however giving is down among charities generally and Telecare specifically as people are more likely to use their expendable income for travel and vacations.
